Would you donate one of your organs to someone (stranger) in need with a sum of money?

My answer would be: Yes.
Why? Hmmm, there are many factors that would prompt me to exchange an organ for monetary needs. I had been following the news in Singapore on Mr Tang… That set me thinking…

Of course, there are many different classes of people… Some whom are rich and well-to-do. Some not here not there, some in the lowest points unimaginable to a normal working class individual.

Scenario 1:
I would ‘trade’ my organ in exchange for monetary assistance if any of my immediate family or loved one were to be seriously ill (this is of course because my medisave IS insufficient to cover the medical costs involved).

Scenario 2:
I would ‘trade’ my organ in exchange for a lease of life – Hope. I suppose this is a gamble end of the day. New lease of life for 2 parties. The recipient and myself… Everything else after is a question mark. How recipient takes care of his health post-op? How donor make good use of the monetary exchange post-op? Etc…

By hope, I dont mean investing huge amounts of time and effort on vice means, but really, chart out a better future. For example, go for a proper education one never had. For the older group (lesser to non educated), set up a small stall, at least to make a couple of bucks at day end to start off a new day tomorrow…

I am hoping to hear views from you. Please share your opinions.

im kinda under the idea that god gave me what i need to live and there is no spare parts box. when im done with them then yeah sure i will donate.

who's the best direct access broker (DAB)?

I am an active trader. I trade stocks and options and what to expand into mini futures (SP and NAS). Every time I try to address this issue of DAB, I get stymied. Some DABs have charting software and order entry, others are just order entry. What should I consider when deciding which DAB to use? Have you run into any that you would avoid…any you would recommend? Thanks

Interactive Brokers is a direct access broker, and only you can evaluate how important that is to you.

But there are several advantages of using IB. Notably, for active traders, their transaction costs are very low. For stocks, for example, the commission is $0.005 or less per share with $1 minimum. So, buy or sell 100 shares of stock at $40 and pay $1 commission, for a total investment of $4,001 or net proceeds of $3,999. Futures commissions are in the $0.25 – $1.20 per contract range.

They also give you access to a large number of markets, and you can route your orders or use their system to find best price on a trade, and you should read at their web site how their order routing works.

you can do an interactive tour, and take advantage of webinars (live and archived) on trading methods and use of IB features and software.

They allow you to do browser-based online trading or (as most do) to download their Trader WorkStation software and run it from your own computer without using a browser. The software includes charting and an extensive menu of tools and order entry screens.

Whether you trade with them or not, they are not a broker to ignore in your search. Barron's (the Dow Jones financial newspaper) has consistently given them a top rating in the paper's annual online broker survey.

My father claims that he earns $3000 a month daytrading.. Is this possible?

My father says he only uses a chart set to 1 day, open hi close, fast stochastic(oversold and overbought). He only plays with 2 stocks at a time. He only plays with stocks that are 5 star/Strongbuy or Buy Ratings. He told me that he only buys when the fast stochastic is showing oversold and the red line crosses over the other and shows the uptrend. Is there anyone out there thats successful doing this method? Is there anyone out there have a more successful method of day trading? My pops calls himself a "graftist" and has been doing this for 20 years.. heheh. I would like to get into it, I'm just not sure if it's that easy. Please help, A future "graftist". : )

Is charting a good way to pick stocks and shares.?

Recently I have been to some seminars about internet share trading. Ive been informed that by looking at the shape of a graph illustrating a stocks value over time, you can with reasnoble certainty predict the future movement of a stock. Is this true and to what extent? Is this a dangerous or smart way to pick stock for trading on the internet?

Occasionally the charts are correct. Occasionally they are not. When they are not it is call a whip saw. I tend to use charts but I do not rely on them completely. I have been whip sawed more than once. If the stock if fundamentally sound and the chart appears good, then I am apt to invest in it. I have frequently regretted it.

How does technical analysis work in share trading?

I am always excited to see analysts telling on TV shows what the next target price of a particular share will be…based on the past performance chart of that particular share…but i feel that chart is made of past performance and share will move on the basis of news that will affect its future…it is quite possible that a chart has been performing for past many years but suddenly some news which is not favourable flashes so no matter how good pasd record is, I feel that share price is bound to fall…what do u say?

For example:

I used to be a fundamental investor. Then I found out about Technical analysis.

I liked Technical Analysis for over 15 years, and now I am a Technofundamental investor.

I will screen stocks, find the best in 'my definition' and then I will purchase them only when the Technical Analysis tells me to buy, or when it tells me to sell.

Fundamentals tell you "What to Buy and Sell"

Technicals tell you "When to Buy and Sell"

The above advice is something that is worth $100K. Seriously.

Trading order question?

1.Generally speaking, How quickly the trading order ( for spreads) will be filled?(For both Long & short position).Assume we are choosing MARKET PRICE.

2.If we choose Limit /Stop orders , Genarally speaking, what would be your suggestions?I am asking these questions because,
e.g., Lets say i am day trader who only likes to trade stock options or futures for 1 day.I will be placing the order by looking at 5 min chrt or something like that…..Lets say, I am Bullish on chart and going for Long position….I placed the order with the aim of getting filled immediately .If the order does not gets filled as per my timing( even if i choose market price) I will be losing the trade……..I do not Know, how to tackle this timing discrepancy between my order placement and filling of order……Please advice me on this issue and give your suggestions also…….Please explain to me in simple way as you can and clearly.I appreciate ur help.

You know, this is trading 101, and if you do not understand basic ordering types and processes, you should not be doing fancy orders such as spreads.

I get market fills faster than I can react to them, click and filled at subsecond speed before I could click again. Your broker may be different.

One order option is "fill or kill". It either fills immediately or is cancelled. But I suggest that if this is critical to your trading plan, you probably have a bad plan.

I do not understand how you can put in a market order and not get filled. Something is wrong with this picture.

The tool of the day trader when analyzing the forex, futures, or stock markets is the price chart. Very simply a price chart is a chart showing the movement of the price of a financial instrument over a chosen time.

Most charts will allow a wide variety of time frames to be displayed and the time frame that day traders choose to use varies widely and depends on each traders trading style. In general, longer term traders will focus on daily time frames and above, and shorter term traders will focus on intraday charts such as hourly or 15 minute charts. Many traders will also use a combination of time frames in order to get a full picture of what price has been doing by, for instance, looking first at a longer term daily chart, then moving to an hourly chart, and then finally to a 15 minute chart.

I need help with Daytrading Crude oil futures?

I just opened up a commodities account..I am trying to day trade crude oil. My problem is I make a lot less on my winners and loose more on stops. What charts are you day traders looking at (1 min, 5 min, interday, 30 min) . How many trades are you making in a avg volume day. How big are your stops. Just any help with day trading crude oil. Any books to read and so forth. Thank You

Day trading futures will pay. I trade the S&P mini's for $300 per contract. So with $1200 you make or lose $200 per point of movement.
