We were told there was a shortage of gas and oil, and that was keeping prices up. Now from AP comes this. We have been lied to again by the "liberal" media.

Did you really expect anything different from the LIEberal media? They've been lying to us for so many years that they can't tell the truth for fear of death and destruction. I've caught them in more lies than I care to remember and I've told them that when they try to call me to get a subscription out of me. What I can't believe is how many liberals believe everything they write. In the oil crisis back in the early 70s, there was no crisis. It was the government telling us that when it was a rubber crisis not oil.

these inventory reports seem to be all over the place every month
Crude Oil supplies are international, gas supplies national thats one thing to keep in mind
refineries are probably pumping out extra gas and heating oil to take advantage of the huge increases in pricing and make some extra profit for the end of the year
this of course would lower the amount of crude oil available but there is plenty on the world marked expecially since a sluggish US economy is slowing down the world economy
there is no "liberal" media and they are not lying
also remember there are different gas blends for summer and winter, last month alot of refineries would have stopped making gas so they can switch over, that would probably be why gas prices went up last month and will probably start coming back down this month

No. There was a shortage in record breaking profits for the energy companies so they had to up the ante.

There have been no oil shortages.
There have on occasion been gas shortages, but only as a result of careful management; that's why they aren't building new refineries. Doing so would lower prices and therefore profits.
