You don’t believe that the market is controlled? Let’s see an example of how control works. At the end of May 2009, Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner went to China and met with Chinese government officials. The Chinese handed Geithner a kind of warning, the conversation most likely went like this…their telling him that they have invested in the U.S. stock market and in Treasury bonds. They are willing to sell their holdings if the stock market does not rise soon.

Geithner realizes that Chinese withdrawal from the Market could crash the U.S. economy, an economy only being held together with rubber bands.

Geithner comes back to the US and figures out what he and his Treasury friends can do to fix the problem. Geithner’s meeting with the Chinese officials took place at the END of May. Right after he came back, the Dow appreciates to 8,800 from 8,200 in 2 weeks, a 600-point run up. Note…the DOW that had not moved up for over two months, remaining around 8,000. How could the DOW move up 600 points in just 2 weeks given that it hadn’t moved in over 2 months? Between the months of July and August, the market went up almost 1,000 points. Strange…examine an old Dow chart for the past five years. You’ll realize that May through August are normally thought to be what has come to be known as the summer doldrums. So explain how the DOW could go up over 1,000 points in just over one month? Now that is control.

The point of the story? How does that help you to become a 12-minute trader? Simple. The point is the market is controlled. The market’s “insiders” know where the market is going and how fast it will get there. They follow specific trading rules, one of which is pivots. Here’s a trick to help you become a 12-minute trader: Just learn the insider rules. Buy when they buy and sell when they sell. Be the market’s shadow. Follow the markets’ rules.

What are the pivots used by movers and shakers in a controlled market? Pivots are support and resistance price levels that allow the movers and shakers to control daily highs and lows during the trading day. There are a total of 17 Futures trading pivots — eight intraday (occurring during 1 trading day) and nine inter-day (occurring over more than 1 trading day). Futures Market movers and shakers use Futures Pivots and stock market movers and shakers use Stock Market pivots. To be a dependable 12-minute trader, pivots need to appear on your technical analysis charts. Without pivots it is difficult to trade because you won’t know where the market may reach for highs and lows.

That time the market was not ready to the idea that an online companies could be very valuable. Google’s value was intellectual property instead of real property.

Long story short, there is absolutely no reason to debate about this anymore, since Google stock price is 5 times its initial value and 5 years later the company has the market value of $175 billion dollars.

Can you imagine, Google stock price rose to over $100 in the first day and even doubled within 3 months and that is absolutely impressive.

Analysts still debate the value of the company but it is more a matter of how much more it will grow and how quickly. Many investors in the Australian stock market also join in this debate.

Obviously the early growth was unrealistic and unsustainable, but over the past few years the company has settled into a more traditional growth pattern with exception of the recession which has been detrimental to the entire tech sector and the entire marketplace.

No stock comes with a guarantee, but investors have shown that they are confident that Google is a solid, reliable company that is not likely to significantly lose value, at least not relative to the market as a whole.

This does not mean throw thousands of dollars at every "hot" product - this usually does nothing to generate anything useful.Additionally, each day trader can only focus on so many things at the same time, you do not need overload as that can actually backfire and make it far worse.  Some people like to use a day trading robot to help, others like to put together a set of indicators with some basic useage rules and that works for them.You need to establish a decent regimen for finding ideas that is followed the same way each time so that ideas are considtent.Those will never be consistent or valuable in the long run because of the sporadic nature of how they are created.

When it comes to computerized tools, there is an additional thing to consider: you can write your own program and indicators and then run them in real time rather than buy someone elses work.This is a good options if you are a more experienced trader and have the programming knowledge (or want to learn) to get the job done.  This can be very very time consuming, and often you can spend hours or days of work only to discover that the theory you are testing is not valid and all the work is wasted.  In fact, if you go down this path, this will happen quite often but is part of the learning and development process.Some day traders will do part of it themselves and then hire someone to help them program the more difficult parts of their theory.  Indicators are quite simple as far as complexity, and then you have the other end of the spectrum which is a day trading robot which usually is quite complex because of all the parts that go into creating such a tool, so plan your time accordingly.

By doing this you will preserve your capital allowing you to trade another day. Your small wins will compensate your small losses allowing your big wins to give you an overall profit

4. Over trading is a big mistake that a lot of amateurs make. Professionals tend to be more patient and wait for the better opportunities to come along, this is called cherry picking and takes both patience and discipline. These are essential skills that you must develop.

5. This is a big day trading tip, it is important that you track all your trades and review them to see where you are making the mistakes. This is hard work, but this is what separates the professionals from the amateurs. Unless you do this you will keep on making the same mistakes. The best way to do this is to keep both a daily and weekly log.

6. Only trade when you are both physically and mentally prepared. This is often overlooked but is very important. Do you think a tennis star can win a game when they are tired and mentally not focused?, it’s unlikely. Being prepared means getting a good nights sleep, having your trading station and charts well prepared before the market opens, taking the time each and every day to review your trading plan and rules. Finally you must have the mental frame of mind and confidence that you are going to be successful today in your trading.

7. If you are new to trading futures take the time to paper trade until you are very confident that you are going to make money. You will know when you are ready because you will start to hate paper trading knowing that you could be making real cash profits on a consistent basis.

Remember that the markets only trend for about 20-35% of the time, the rest is either sideways or very choppy, if you want to do trend trading to win you must be fully prepared when the opportunities arise.
